The Red River Junior Golf Tour was established in 2022 for the purpose of bringing competitive junior golf to the Texarkana area. Originally started as part of Pleasant Grove Youth Association in the Spring of 2022, RRJGT was spun off in an effort to expand it’s reach to more kids in more school districts.

RRJGT plans to hold five tournaments in the Spring of 2023 at each of the local golf courses in the Texarkana area. The five courses include New Haven Golf Club, Oak Grove Golf Club, Texarkana Golf Ranch, Northridge Country Club, and Texarkana Country Club. The Spring season will consist of 9-hole tournaments held in the afternoon after school. Golfers will be grouped into a Boys & Girls division for ages 13-14, 11-12, 9-10, and a Coed divisions for golfers 8 & Under. Prizes are given for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place at each tournament, and an overall Player of the Year is announced at the end of the season.

RRJGT will also hold a Summer Series at each of the same courses. The format will be the same as the Spring, except that golfers 11 and older will play 18-holes and all tournaments will begin in the mornings.
