New Haven Golf Club Results

The Farmers Bank & Trust Junior Golf Tour kicked off its Spring Season Tuesday afternoon at New Haven Golf Club in Texarkana, Arkansas.  Twenty-five junior golfers from throughout the area competed in the cold and rain.

 David Mayo, from Texarkana, took home the Champions Title in the Boys 15+ division with a 44, and Graham Andrus won the Boys 13-14 division with a 44.  In the Boys 11-12 age group, Alex Hammonds, of Atlanta, Texas, dominated the field with a 37 to add to his growing trophy case of medals and awards, and George Meisenheimer earned runner-up honors with a 43.  Sawyer Hopkins walked away with top honors in the Boys 9-10 division with a 44, while Davis Early earned runner-up with a 54.  Micah Glick pulled out the win in the Coed 8 & Under division with a 47, and Buck Hawkins received runner-up with a 49.

In the Girls 13-14 age group, Livi Dowd won top honors in her first tournament experience.  Sophia Gavriel continues to add to her list of championships, winning the Girls 11-12 division with a 47, while newcomer Gabi Nevels earned runner-up honors with a 55.  Rounding out the Girls 9-10 division was Nora McCarley earning top billing.

The Farmers Bank & Trust Junior Golf Tour is a series of five golf tournaments held in the Spring and Summer for junior golfers.  Anyone age 19 and under, who have not yet attended college, is eligible to compete.  Overall winners in each age division will be eligible to play in the recently announced APT/WAPT Junior Pro-Am this summer.  The next tournament will be held April 4th at Texarkana Golf Ranch.
